Understand how films are constructed, in terms of narratives, visuals, and sound. Learn the key terms that scholars and artists employ to talk about film and the effects the different elements of cinema are meant to have on the viewer. Identify the ways in which politics infuse popular movies. Get comfortable discussing and critiquing film over wine with other members of DC’s creative class. You’ll have more to offer a movie review than your thumbs.
